I am trying to extract serial numbers from my hp servers.  I am using the following command:
Get-Content c:\psscripts\script.txt | ForEach-Object {Get-WmiObject -ComputerName $_ win32_bios}

The serial number appears fine but the product number does not appear.  does anyone know howto get the product number drom the HP servers using powershell?

Product number? can you be more specific?

all HP servers come with a Serial Number and a Product Number.  Both of these can be found by manually going into the bios.

In order to replace parts or log calls with HP you need to have the serial number and the Product Number.

I've seen this on HP's before and don't remember what property name to pull out. Run this on one of the computers and find the property name, then it can be specified.

gwmi Win32_Bios | Select *

You may also check Win32_ComputerSystem
