Hello All, I am trying to find a solution to sync two file servers. I have used robocopy and it will do most of what I need so I turned to powershell to help fill in the gaps. I have two file servers that can be manipulated at any time by any of my users, so I need to keep both servers the same since a user may not always get to the same file server every time. I have used robocopy with the /MIR and /XO switched however the problem is this.
If a user deletes a file on server B and the robocopy script runs on server A then the file is recreated on server B; however if the script runs on server B then all will work however it is all a matter of chance if it will work correctly. So I started to work with lastwritetime in powershell to compare the contents of the folder, but I am a little stumped on how I can determine what to delete, as in folder names or file names.
Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.
