I'm looking for other users in Wichita Kansas area to form a group, or join an existing group.  Step on up and lets see what we can do!

If you get this group going, be sure to register with GITCA!

    See: http://powershellcommunity.org/Foru...fault.aspx for more details.

I'm new to PowerShell, and I think creating a group here in Wichita is a great idea.

Has any progress been made in this direction? Perhaps it's up to us to get it started. What do you think?

Usually the way these things goes is that it takes some interested volunteers. I suggest that you guys start with a website or a mailing list, and spread the news to co-workers and others in your area. Try to get at least 10 people to commit to showing up, but 20 would be better. Once you do that, find a venue. Usually local companies will let you use a meeting room at their office for free if you promise to say good things about them. You'll want to try and get a company to sponsor food as well. If you have any local tech companies that's an easy way. PowerShellCommunity can also help. We can have some of our sponsors send some swag. Sometimes sponsors or PowerShell MVPs or Microsoft evangelists will come out and speak at your user group.

Let us know how this develops and how we (PoshComm) can help.
