I would like to get your ideas and experience in developing cmdlets in C++. Is it possible to develop a powershell cmdlet without using .Net Framework and C++?
Also please share your ideas about porting a C/C++ (unmanaged) command line tool in powershell cmdlet style snapin. Which language choice will be more efficient C++ or C#?
It would be great if somebody can share a link to some C++ example/demo code to create cmdlets.
Thanks.

You cannot develop a cmdlet without invoking .NET at some point: You will need to wrap anything you're doing and eventually link into .NET.
That being said, if you're looking to go and create your own snapin, you'll definitely want to go with C# (or VB.NET).
I'm not a pro developer though.
