PowerShell virtual user group (meeting #1 video)

I recently started organizing a virtual Windows PowerShell user group. Our first meeting was October 3rd, and we had presentations by: Keith Hill (PowerShell Community Extensions), PowerGadgets (by Ivan Giugni) and Marc van Orsouw (PowerTab).

The resulting video (after editing) was 100MB, and I wasn't able to find a home for it as a single file. I was finally able to put it up in pieces on my Windows Live SkyDrive account.

I've just put up a blog entry on my own personal blog here. Each file is roughly 15MB-25MB in size. I've split them up by presenter, and added a short blurb on what was discussed by each presenter.

I'll be announcing the next virtual user group here soon, but it will likely be December 4th at noon EST. I am planning to have some more "PowerShell superstars" to talk at the next get-together also.

We had roughly 125 people sign up for meeting #1, and had roughly 65 join in and listen to the presentations. Those are both pretty strong numbers. I hope you can join meeting #2!

PowerShell Screencast #1: JAMS application

A few months back, Jeffrey Snover blogged about JAMS. He mentioned that he would like to see some kind of video demo of how JAMS worked. Since nothing was available, I decided to do a screencast on it, and here it is in Flash format: JAMS screencast.

This is my first screencast (ever!), and I am hoping to do more on PowerShell, and anything related to PowerShell. If there's anything in particular that you'd like to see a screencast on, leave a comment.

I hope you enjoy it!
