Jeff Hicks and I have posted three sample chapters and a complete table of contents for our upcoming Windows PowerShell: TFM, 2nd Edition, which will be released in December. You can access the sample PDF at http://sapienpress.com/powershell2.asp immediately. We've taken some pains to make sure this edition is absolutely the most comprehensive book on PowerShell available: It includes details on creating custom formats, custom type extensions, basic cmdlet development, and much more, as well as an entire Part full of administrative tasks, and of course "no experience required" introductory material. At nearly 600 pages, it's physically 20% larger than the first edition, contains more than 160 pages of brand-new content, and more than 60% of the original content has been completely revised expanded, or rewritten. Extensive community and peer feedback went into every stage, along with feedback from more than 1,000 classroom students who use the 1st edition as a text book. We can't wait for this new title to release - it'll be available in both print and electronc editions, too!
